Higher levels survive more damage and bigger logos, but make the pattern denser. Auto picks H when you add a logo.
The Evergreen Promise
Other “free” QR sites quietly give you a trial code that dies when the trial ends, then charge you to bring your printed menus back. We think that’s wrong, so we promise the opposite, in writing.
Read the promise- Free codes never expire. Static codes hold your data directly. They work even if we vanish.
- Paid codes are never held hostage. Cancel Pro and your dynamic codes keep working, frozen on their last link.
- Every design is scan-tested before you download it.
- No cookies, no trackers, no selling data.
How EvergreenQR compares
What you get for free here, versus what’s typical on popular “free” QR sites.
| EvergreenQR | Typical “free” QR site | |
|---|---|---|
| Codes keep working after a trial or cancellation | Yes, always | Often deactivated |
| Signup required to download | No | Often |
| SVG, PDF and EPS vector files | Free | Often paid |
| Scan test before download | Built in | Rare |
| Editable (dynamic) codes | $5/mo, or $79 once | $7–$15+/mo |
| Tracking cookies | None | Common |
Restaurants were hit hardest by QR sites that deactivate codes after a free trial: printed table tents suddenly lead to an ad page. With EvergreenQR, a free static code points straight to your menu link forever.
Tip: link to a menu page you control (your website or an online PDF). If you change prices often, use a Pro dynamic code: the printed code stays the same while you swap the menu link anytime, and it keeps working even if you cancel.
How to make your Restaurant menu QR
- Paste the link to your menu (website page or PDF on Google Drive or Dropbox).
- Pick the Coffee preset or your brand colors and add your logo.
- Download a PDF for table tents; keep the code at least 3 cm (1.2 in) wide.
Questions, answered
How do I make a QR code for a PDF menu?
Upload the PDF to Google Drive or Dropbox, set sharing to “Anyone with the link”, copy that link and paste it here. Or host it on your website.
Will my menu QR code ever stop working?
Not because of us. Static codes contain your link directly. Just keep the menu link itself alive (don’t delete the file or page).
What is the Scan Score?
Before you download, we render your design small and slightly blurred, the way a phone camera sees it, and read every module back. The score shows how much of the built-in error correction your design uses. If it is low, the Fix button adjusts colors, logo size or error correction for you.
