The Evergreen Promise
Why we built an honest QR code generator, and what we promise you in writing.
QR codes get printed on menus, signs, packaging and business cards: things that are expensive to reprint. Some QR sites exploit that. They hand out “free” dynamic codes that quietly expire with a trial, then the printed code shows an ad or a paywall until you pay. Restaurants, charities and small businesses have been caught out.
We think a QR code should be like a phone number: once you’ve printed it, it’s yours. So here’s our promise:
1. Free codes never expire
Static codes contain your information directly (your link, Wi‑Fi details or contact card). There is nothing on our side that can be switched off. They work even if EvergreenQR shuts down.
2. Paid codes are never held hostage
Dynamic codes forward through our servers so you can edit them. If you cancel Pro, they keep forwarding to the last destination you set. Forever. You lose editing and stats, not your codes. The only exception: codes used for scams or malware are disabled to protect people (see our Terms).
3. Every design is scan-tested
Before you download, we simulate a phone camera reading your code at several sizes and with blur, and show how much safety margin is left. If a design is risky, we tell you and offer a one-click fix.
4. No tricks
No signup to download. No watermarks. No tracking cookies. No selling data. Clear prices, cancel anytime, 14-day refunds.
5. If we ever shut down
We’ll give Pro customers at least 12 months’ notice and a way to export their codes and destinations, and we’ll keep redirects running for that whole period.
